DeMon came along when I was about 12 years old. I refer to her as a ‘she’ though there isn’t actually any gender.
Most of my experiences with DeMon are unpleasant, intrusive and distressing. But at times she is just present in the background without threatening or disturbing me.
Elisabeth lives in West Yorkshire but is originally from Denmark where she has been involved with the Hearing Voices Network as a speaker and trainer for the past 10 years. Her story features in the book ‘Living with Voices’ by Romme & Escher. She is passionate about emotional wellbeing, mindful communication and sensitivity. She enjoys bodywork, dance, gardening, being creative, listening to the rain and giving and receiving hugs.
